The newly created position will be responsible for creating, implementing and evaluating a new initiative to provide specific and additional economic development services to improve the readiness of communities in Kenton County for business development opportunities.

“Tri-ED has been enormously successful in its work in attracting, retaining and creating primary industry companies throughout Northern Kentucky. This new position will add to that work in Kenton County by providing additional expertise to individual communities that want to evaluate, improve and market their assets and points of differentiation so that they can meet the opportunities for all types of development, be that industrial, commercial or residential,” said Kris Knochelmann, Kenton County Judge-Executive.

Wingo has worked in Northern Kentucky for twenty years and brings considerable experience in many facets of community development. She previously served as Historic Preservation Officer and Economic Development Director for the City of Newport and as City Coordinator for the City of Florence.  Additionally, she was appointed to fill an unexpired term on Florence City Council.

“We are excited to have Pat join our team here at Tri-ED. This is our 30th year of advancing industry in Northern Kentucky and we are looking forward to expanding our ability to help Kenton County communities achieve increased economic vibrancy in this Pilot program. Pat brings with her many years of experience and familiarity with Northern Kentucky and I am sure she will prove a huge asset to our team,” said Dan Tobergte, President & CEO of Northern Kentucky Tri-ED.

Wingo has also been an active volunteer in the Northern Kentucky community, serving twelve years on the Board of Directors of Holly Hill Children’s Services, and is currently Chairman of the Boone County Historic Preservation Review Board and a member of the Boone Florence Water Commission.
