Covington Business Council Luncheon topic, “Why not Covington?” focuses on high-profile businesses

The Covington Business Council will introduce to its members at the April 20 regular monthly luncheon two of the most high profile businesses to enter the community in some time.

The program, made possible by sponsor C-Forward, will be a panel format entitled “Why Not Covington?”

CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting, which has been based in Blue Ash, will bring 250 jobs to the East Tower at RiverCenter in the coming months and eventually may bring twice that many.

Wyzerr, a gamification survey tool, will be much smaller in scope initially, related to employment, but in the startup world represents a home run in the city’s quest to create a haven for startups.

CTI, which helps pharmaceutical and biomedical companies gain government approval to bring products to market, will be represented by CEO and Founder Tim Schroeder.

  • What brought these companies to Covington?
  • What are their growth potentials?
  • What are the challenges of companies that have contrasting scales of operation?
  • What role did community partners such as CVG Airport & Northern Kentucky University play?
