NKY Restoration offers professional development, practical hands-on activities for Restoration Weekend


NKY Restoration is offering educational opportunities to foster vibrancy in the River Cities with a NKY Restoration Weekend.

This program promotes economic development, place making, and preserving our historic assets.  This educational programming is extended to the professional community with developmental CEU credits for architects and planners at no charge.

Five credits of continuing education are provided on Friday, March 10, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m..  The programs will be held at Baker Hunt located at 620 Greenup Street in Covington and include a light continental breakfast and free boxed lunch provided by Marsh Building Supplies.

On Saturday, at the Gateway Urban Campus in Covington, there are hands-on sessions for all interested in restoration. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and various sessions run through 3:30 p.m.

This event was funded in part through funds from the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior and administered through the Kentucky Heritage Council to the Cities of Covington and Bellevue. NKY Restoration is an unincorporated association of individuals who represent businesses,non-profit organizations, and local Historic Preservation offices in Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati region. Its primary purpose is to organize and direct the annual NKY Restoration Weekend and provide supplemental social media content and programming.
