Holmes High School seeking nominations for Hall of Distinction; deadline is March 31

Nominations are being sought for the 2017 Holmes Hall of Distinction.  The hall honors distinguished graduates and friends of Covington schools in recognition of their achievements and contributions to society. The hall was founded to recognize the history of Holmes High School and its continuing impact on the community.

This year, a new honor for the Hall has been added this year – the Holmes High School Outstanding Young Alumnus Award.  It is designed to honor Holmes graduates who are 35 years and younger who have made outstanding contributions to society.

The distinguished graduates were previously inducted into the hall during graduation ceremonies.

This year, the induction will take place during the inaugural “Hall of Honors’’ event which combines the Hall of Distinction and the Covington Education Foundation’s Person of the Year. It will take place at 6 p.m., June 14 at the Drees Pavilion.

Nomination forms for the young alumnus award and distinguished graduates and friends are attached. The deadline for submission is March 31.
