AMC Newport 20 Theatres announced $8 million renovation to create state-of-art experience

AMC Newport 20 Theatres has committed to an approximate $8 million renovation to create a state-of-the-art experience, which is expected to begin in the fall of 2017, offering movie-goers a chance to catch the latest blockbusters from the comfort of their very own power reclining seat.

This renovation will extend AMC’s commitment to Newport on the Levee until the year 2032 and will bolster AMC’s status as one of the top two performing theaters in the Cincinnati market.

For those seeking entertainment, Newport on the Levee has long been a go-to spot providing an environment that rivals the excitement of their favorite flix.

As part of AMC’s revitalization, Newport 20 will elevate the movie-going experience to a new level as the 20-screen AMC Theatre updates all theaters (excluding the IMAX) with the most technologically advanced sight, sound and screen features.

A complete remodel of the theatre includes the installation of fully reclining seats, making every seat the best seat in the house.

Also, an existing theatre will be remodeled and converted into a premium large format experience that will provide viewers with an experience similar to IMAX but with AMC’s proprietary large format equipment.

The AMC Newport 20 food and beverage selections will be getting an upgrade with modifications to the existing McGuffin’s Bar.

The concession stations will also be updated with an expanded selection to satisfy every movie-goer’s craving.

The renovations, scheduled to start in fall 2017, will be completed in a series of phases and are not expected to interfere with the customer experience.
