UpTech accelerator to kick off StartupCincy Demo Day on February 9 — hear the pitches


UpTech, Greater Cincinnati’s accelerator for data-driven startups, will be kicking off the 2017 StartupCincy Demo Day year with the UpTech 5 Demo Day, on Thursday, February 9. 

Hosted at 84.51°, UpTech’s 5th cohort of companies will showcase their businesses via pitch format to an audience of community partners, investors, and startup enthusiasts. The event will be followed by a reception.
 
“We have a talented group who have risen to the challenge of our enhanced program,” said JB Woodrufff, UpTech program director.  “I look forward to enjoying the night with our community as our companies share their work and aim to top last year’s success.”
 
Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. with light refreshments available.

Demo Day will begin promptly at 6 p.m., on the 5th floor. A reception showcasing local food vendors and breweries will be held on the 9th floor following the pitch event. Attendees will enjoy food and drinks and will be able network with the UpTech companies and others in attendance.
 
“We’re very excited to team up again with UpTech in hosting the Fifth Cohort’s big night,” said Tony Blankemeyer, partnerships lead and managing director of 84.51°’s Startups in Residence program. “84.51° leverages our expertise on data, science, and customer experience to help make people’s lives easier. As we’ve interacted with a number of the founders going through UpTech, we love seeing versions of these themes shared by many of the companies’ mission, as well.”
