Plagued by thousands of emails in your inbox? Baffled as to why you can’t seem to get anything done? Or, are you still trying to get a handle on technology?

If the start of a new year finds you reflecting on how you can improve your productivity, then Laura Stack may well have the answers you’re seeking.

Stack, president and CEO of The Productivity Pro, Inc., a bestselling author, and a noted authority on employee and team productivity, will be the keynote speaker when the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Women’s Initiative kicks off the year with its annual breakfast on January 18, at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington.

Her presentation will focus on her most recent book, “Doing the Right Things Right: How the Effective Executive Spends Time.”

Linda Gravett, chair of this year’s annual breakfast, says the event is a wonderful opportunity to start the New Year off on a good note with networking and learning.

“Our speaker, Laura Stack, is a busy professional woman who has learned how to be productive, juggle personal and business needs, and stay sane,” says Gravett. “Laura has a great sense of humor and will make the keynote fun and engaging.”

Stack’s presentation will provide insight into managing productivity, improving workflow, organization, and time management. She will speak to key practices and identify the three areas where leaders spend most of their time, which she identifies as 3T Leadership – Strategic Thinking (Business), Teamwork (Employees) and Tactics (Self).

Best known by her moniker, The Productivity Pro, Stack has dedicated her 25-year career to help organizations achieve results. She’s been a spokesperson for Microsoft, Dannon, 3M, Skillsoft, Starbucks, Office Depot, Day-Timer, Fellowes, and Xerox, and her work has been featured in national media outlets such the CBS Early Show, CNN, The New York Times, and Forbes magazine.

In addition to Stack’s presentation, attendants at the annual breakfast will have the opportunity to support the USO of Central and Southern Ohio.

Each year, the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Women’s Initiative selects an area nonprofit which exemplifies its mission to connect, grow and achieve. This year, the Women’s Initiative selected the USO of Central and Southern Ohio, which was founded in 1966 and serves three counties in Northern Kentucky, 57 counties in Ohio, and five in West Virginia. In 2015, the local chapter served 105,000 military members and their families. The USO was founded in 1941 by an act of Congress to serve the men and women of America’s Armed Forces and their families. Funding is dependent on corporate and individual donations.

“The Women’s Initiative is committed to supporting our community,” says Gina Bath, vice president of the Women’s Initiative. “We are pleased to be able to provide these needed resources in support of the USO.”

Donations to the USO can be made at the Women’s Initiative Annual Breakfast in support of the “Force behind the Force,” by bringing one of their “USO Wish List” items to the event, which can be found at www.usocso.org.

The Women’s Initiative is one of the largest professional women’s groups in the region and will celebrate its eighth anniversary in 2017.

The cost to attend the breakfast is $50 for Northern Kentucky Chamber members, and $75 for future Chamber members.

Reservations are required and can be made by contacting Gina Bath at 859-578-6384, or online at www.nkychamber.com/events.
