Dennis Keene of 67th District, elected minority caucus chairman of House Democratic Caucus


On Tuesday, the Kentucky House of Representatives Democratic Caucus elected its leadership team for the 2017-2018 General Assembly.

Rep. Keene is the first Northern Kentucky member of the General Assembly to be elected to a leadership post since Senator Katie Stine retired in 2014. The last Northern Kentucky leadership post in the House of Representatives was held by Jim Callahan who retired in 2004.

“I am honored to have the support of my colleagues and will be a voice for all Kentuckians in the General Assembly,” said Rep. Dennis Keene. “This puts Northern Kentucky in a better position during budget negotiations and I can impact policy decisions.”

Representative Dennis Keene has served the citizens of the 67th District (Newport, Bellevue, Dayton, Silver Grove, Melbourne, Highland Heights, Southgate, and Wilder) in Campbell County since 2005. He served as chairman of the House Licensing and Occupations Committee for eight years, a and currently serves on that committee as well as serving on Banking & Insurance and the Natural Resources & Energy Committees.
