Covington Business Council’s February luncheon to feature Fernando Figueroa, president of Gateway

The Covington Business Council will hold its monthly luncheon on February 16, featuring Gateway Community and Technical College President Fernando Figueroa.

The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madison Events Center.

Dr. Figueroa

Dr. Figueroa will discuss upcoming projects related to buildings utilized in the Gateway imprint in the Central Business District and talk about what the business community can do to help the Urban Campus grow and prosper.

A key component of the overall plan is Riverfront Commons, an 11.5 mile walking/biking path that runs along the Ohio River from the city of Ludlow on the west to the city of Ft. Thomas on the east.

Riverfront Commons will seamlessly connect over the Purple People Bridge to trails in Cincinnati, to the Licking River Greenway in Northern Kentucky, and to Devou Park in Covington.
