St. Elizabeth Cardiovascular Mobile Unit

Equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, the mobile unit can perform a variety of on-site tests aimed at detecting all manner of risky health conditions including: carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm and high blood pressure. Named for its founders Pat and Polly Giblin, P’s in a Pod plays bluegrass classics and contemporary songs in a bluegrass style. Their set list runs the gamut from Flatt and Scruggs and Johnny Cash to the Beatles. The band has evolved over the past six years to include not only Pat on guitar and Polly on banjo, but also Dan Lynch on mandolin and Mindy Reichelt on upright bass.

New Horizons Orchestra

An interactive demonstration of music-making! This orchestra is the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Preparatory & Engagement’s premier ensemble geared toward adult learners. Many of the orchestra members never played a string instrument before joining. Led by CCM faculty member Dr. Betty Anne Gottlieb, the orchestra will perform, talk about their experiences with music and encourage audience members to try their instruments.
