Players of Fort Thomas presents the final performances of its annual children’s show, “The Cat in the Hat” written by Dr. Seuss, adapted by Katie Mitchell and directed by Stephanie this weekend.

Performances for this family-friendly rhyming tale will be Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 7 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m.

From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that “The Cat in the Hat” is the funniest, most mischievous cat that they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and the craziest of ideas, he is certainly loads of fun. He turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure… but what will mom find when she gets home?  The cast includes: Collin Wenzell, Nathan Henegar, Alex Harrison, Ella Hageman, Paige Browne, Erica Kruse, Katy Fisher, James Covarrubias and Victoria Covarrubias.

The Village Players annual children’s show has been a community tradition for 25 years. Tickets for “The Cat in the Hat” are $10 and can be purchased online at www.villageplayers.biz or by calling 859-392-0500.

Village Players began in 1966 when members of the Fort Thomas Woman’s Club formed a community theatre department and renovated the lower level of the building to house a unique and intimate 102-seat three-quarter thrust stage. Village Players is a member of KTA, OCTA, ACT-Cincinnati and AACT. Located at 8 North Fort Thomas Avenue, Fort Thomas.

Village Players mounts four productions each year and donates the proceeds of its spring production to charity. For more information, www.villageplayers.biz or 859-392-0500.
