Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Newport Cincinnati is 15 minutes from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Guests of the hotel will be near local area attractions including Newport on the Levee, with a variety of shopping and restaurant outlets, Paul Brown Stadium and Great American Ballpark.

The hotel has been open for about two weeks and owner Shaun Pan said the phone has been ringing off the hook with people booking weddings and events well into the new year.

“We are so excited to work with our great neighbors, Newport on the Levy, B&B Riverboats, the Newport Aquarium and the Syndicate, Pan said. “We look forward to bring a second wave of energy to the Newport riverfront area.”

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Newport Cincinnati offers free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour business center with complimentary printing, a 1,250 square foot meeting space that can accommodate up to 55 people, an indoor heated saltwater pool and a fitness center.

Each guestroom includes high-quality amenities, including the brand’s signature Clean and fresh Hampton bed®, LCD TV, mini-refrigerator and coffeemaker.

Inviting studio suites are also available, offering additional space, a comfortable sleeper sofa and views of the Ohio River and Cincinnati skyline (tip-rooms that end in 11 have the best view).

“You have to stay in Newport to get the best view of Cincinnati,” Pan said.

For those guests with electric cars, the hotel is providing four charging stations, two universal car charging stations and two Tesla Motor car charging stations.

Newport City Manager Tom Fromme said with all of the activity occurring in Newport and the Cincinnati, the Hampton Inn & Suites will fill a tremendous need for quality hotel rooms.

“Newport has a lot of festivals and activities going on downtown and on the river…we have a lot of visitors and often times they have to seek rooms outside of the city to fill their needs,” Fromme said. “They expressed their willingness to work with the city staff in designing a building that was appropriate for this area, the downtown area, and I think they succeeded. I want to thank you for that.”

The 122-room hotel joins the family of Hampton by Hilton and Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton. Located at 222 York Street, the new hotel is managed by NKY Hospitality, LLC.

It is adjacent to the Taylor-Southgate Bridge, directly across from the Newport Aquarium and Newport on the Levee.

General Manager Patrice Chisom said the hotel is working with businesses and organizations throughout the region to attract visitors to the city.

“The staff and I are happy to join the Hampton by Hilton family with our new hotel opening on the beautiful banks of the Ohio River, overlooking downtown Cincinnati,” said Patrice Chisom, general manager. “We are prepared to extend the warmest customer service as we welcome guests to Newport, Kentucky. It’s going to be a great year for us.”

hapton-ribbonEric Summe, president and CEO of meetNKY/Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau said the organization is delighted to welcome another great hotel into the vibrant Northern Kentucky Community.

“This is another example of the phenomenal growth in our destination and an indication of continued demand for the Northern Kentucky experience,” Summe said. “Our industry continues to grow and shatter records. The opening of the Hampton Newport adds even more jobs into a powerful industry that employees over 74,000 people in the region and generates over $4 billion of economic impact in our NKY communities.”

Jack Moreland, president of Southbank Partners said the growth all along Northern Kentucky’s riverfront has been phenomenal.

“It seems like we are doing a ribbon cutting every week,” Moreland said.

Mark Looy, CCO and co-founder of Answers in Genesis, the Apologetics ministry that built the Creation Museum in Petersburg and the life sized Ark Encounter in Williamstown, said AiG is always excited about new hotels in the region.

“The Ark Encounter has been open for five months and the maximum number we can handle is 7,500 people,” Looy said. “It has nothing to do with the capacity of the Ark, it’s the number of hotel rooms in the area. When we have those big days of 7,000 on Fridays and Saturdays, the hotels are absolutely full in the area, so to have an extra hotel here with several dozen rooms helps us to perhaps exceed that 7,500 figure.”

The hotel provides guests a fresh start to each day with On the House hot breakfast which includes eggs, oatmeal, waffles and seasonal offerings.

Designed as an extension of the guestroom with a variety of seating and lighting options for both leisure and business travelers, the new hotel features the Perfect Mix Lobby.

Within the lobby guests can find Suite Shop, a food and beverage shop filled with snacks, toiletries, local merchandise and drinks for purchase. Hampton by Hilton hotels are infused with local photography and artwork, highlighting each property’s connection and support to its own community.

The hotel is located on the same parcel as the former Travelodge Motel which had deteriorated over the years and had become something of an eyesore.

“We are very excited about this new addition to Newport’s riverfront and it’s a good time to give thanks that one of our problem areas gets replaced with something so nice,” Campbell County Judge/Executive Steve Pendery said.
