Northern Kentucky Chamber to announce annual ‘Where We Stand’ legislative priorities on Dec. 15

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will host the annual ‘Where We Stand’ event to unveil top legislative priorities for the upcoming 2017 legislative “short” session.

This event will be held at Hotel Covington Ballroom (638 Madison Ave, Covington), from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 15th.

Each year we identify key legislative issues affecting our members, formulate pro-business policy positions and advocate for those positions on behalf of our members.

Our 2017 Where We Stand Kentucky legislative agenda comes directly from our members. Northern Kentucky business leaders from a variety of sectors have spent months formulating policy recommendations in advocacy committee meetings.

Subject matter experts will present and discuss the top priorities, which include:

 Labor & Employment Law changes
 Right to Work
 Repeal of Prevailing Wage
 Tax Reform
 Implementation of Outcomes-Based & Equity Funding for NKU
 Medical Review Panels
 Pension Transparency

“This is a great opportunity for business leaders to spend time with members of our delegation and to discuss our legislative priorities,” says Trey Grayson, President/CEO, NKY Chamber.

The cost to attend the event is $25 for NKY Chamber members and $50 for future Chamber members. Light hors d’oeuvres & drinks will be served. Reservations can be made by calling 859.578.8800 or online at http://web.nkychamber.com/events.
