This vote’s in and final: Landslide winner is the traditional Chocolate Chip in Littlest Angels election

Rallying voters for an important decision.

Rallying voters for an important decision.

In keeping with a fine — and tasty — election tradition, City of Union Mayor Larry K. Solomon participated in a ‘Kid Vote’ event at Littlest Angles Learning Center.

In helping Marci Thompson’s class understand elections and voting, Mayor Solomon continued a special traditional dating back several years. Past mayors have also going in helping children at the center understand the voting process.

The vote is important: What is the best cookie?

On the ballot were candidates Snickerdoodle, Oatmeal and Chocolate Chip.

The candidate field samples were provided by mothers of the children at the center.

Each child got a sample of each cookie and the good Mayor (after a sample of his own) helped lead them in a vote.

Results were tabulated independently with assistance from city staff.

There is no question about the results, though they must still be officially certified.

It’s Chocolate Chip by a landslide!
