Health Department schedules open house in Newport to discuss heroin epidemic, syringe exchange

The Northern Kentucky Health Department’s Campbell County Health Center will hold an open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016.

At the event, community leaders and Newport residents can find out details about Northern Kentucky’s response to the heroin epidemic and learn more about the proposed syringe access exchange program.

Health Department staff and representatives from St. Elizabeth Healthcare, the Campbell County Fiscal Court and others involved in the local heroin response will be available to answer questions. Health Department staff will provide tours of the health center and information about other services provided as well.

The health center is located on the first floor of the Campbell County administration building, 1098 Monmouth Street in Newport.

Light refreshments from Center Table: Catering with a Purpose will be provided by St. Elizabeth.
