St. E doubles support of ‘One Vision One Voice’ campaign, for ‘underlying health of our community’

St. Elizabeth Healthcare announced a doubling of its investment in the One Vision One Voice campaign, a joint effort of Skyward (formerly Vision 2015) and Northern Kentucky Tri-ED. The investment, totaling $500,000 over five years, will be paramount to continued efforts to implement the myNKY plan.

The myNKY plan, created to develop a shared vision for our community over the next five years and beyond, focuses on areas of education, vibrancy, job creation and community health.

“The underlying health of our community is so critical to our future. Feeling and being healthy is going to be core to our successes in all of these other areas – in education, in the workforce, in the quality of life that makes our community great,” said Garren Colvin, President and CEO of St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

“The choice to double our investment reflects our commitment to community health and our faith that these organizations and programs can and will work, if we can come together and get behind them.”

Skyward’s community health and wellness focus includes the signature LiveWell NKY program, which engages community coalitions with customized health initiatives designed to reach people through their work, schools, and faith-based organizations. The overarching wellness goal aspires to push 20,000 more Northern Kentucky adults to self-identified good health.

“We thank St. Elizabeth for this generous investment and for recognizing the value that these initiatives will have for our entire region,” said Mer Grayson, campaign co-chair. “St. Elizabeth continues to be a critical strategic partner in promoting and supporting community-based wellness, reflecting their vision to help make Northern Kentucky one of the healthiest communities in the United States.”

“More than ever, a strong focus on wellness and vibrancy will be critical to growing, attracting and retaining a talented workforce,” said Bill Robinson, campaign co-chair. “Collectively, we can move the needle on community health and continue to promote Northern Kentucky as a vibrant and active community for businesses and residents.”

The $500,000 contribution will be paid in installments over a five-year period, beginning in 2017.

Contributions are budgeted to allow Skyward and Tri-ED to meet critical funding needs for program management and implementation.
