After Torres scored three rushing touchdowns in the first half on Friday, the game was suspended due to lightning. When the teams returned to Scott on Saturday morning to complete the game, Torres scored once more on a 56-yard screen pass from quarterback Noah Smedley.

The Colonels’ other touchdown was scored by Cam Barrett on a 7-yard run. Scott turned the ball over three times on fumbles before scoring its only touchdown on an 8-yard run by quarterback Nelson Perrin in the fourth quarter.

It was a good first step for the Colonels who started out 0-4 last year and ended up with a 3-9 record. Scott is now 0-2.
