Allegiant to offer seasonal nonstop flight from CVG to Puerto Rico once a week, beginning in December


Allegiant today announced new nonstop service to San Juan, Puerto Rico from Cincinnati via the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). To celebrate, the company known for its ultra-low fares, is offering one-way fares on the route for as low as $79.

allegiant_plane “We’re looking forward to providing Cincinnati travelers with their only low-cost, nonstop option to visit our first Caribbean destination,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “Allegiant has experienced great success in Cincinnati and we’re confident the community will take advantage of the opportunity to explore everything San Juan has to offer.”

The new seasonal flights from San Juan will operate once a week. Flights begin Dec. 17, 2016 and end April 22, 2017. The new route will add to Allegiant’s current service from Cincinnati, which includes nonstop flights to 14 cities across America.

Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.

“We’re thrilled to now be offering travelers nonstop service to San Juan, and we’re even more pleased to see Allegiant’s continued growth,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “This is the first time we’ve been able to offer low-cost carrier service to Puerto Rico, and we’re excited that San Juan now becomes CVG’s 54th nonstop destination.”

Allegiant began service from Cincinnati in Feb. 2014. Since then, the airline has added flights to 15 cities and this month celebrated its one millionth passenger at CVG.
