The Director of Campus Ministry of Thomas More College, Andrew J. Cole, has been appointed to the Governor’s Commission for Volunteerism and Service.

The KCCVS is a statewide, bipartisan group comprised of up to 25 members with diverse service and volunteerism backgrounds. The purpose of the Commission is to encourage and recognize volunteerism and assist in the development of service programs statewide.
“I am honored to be appointed by Governor Bevin to this commission, it’s a perfect fit with our efforts at Thomas More College to focus our Campus Ministry on Christ centered service to all of society,” said Cole. “It is my hope, that in addition to helping to develop service projects for all of Kentucky, this appointment will allow me to build networking relationships that will benefit the students of Thomas More.”
Thomas More College is a values-based liberal arts institution that is one of 10 Catholic Diocesan colleges in the nation. Located in Crestview Hills, it was originally founded in 1921 by the Benedictine Sisters as Villa Madonna College.

Thomas More College offers scholarship money to aid and support those students dedicated to ministry and service through the Bishop Roger J. Foys Ministry and Service Scholarship.
“That scholarship, along with the appointment of Mr. Cole to the Governor’s Commission for Volunteerism and Service, expands Thomas More College’s leadership role in promoting the importance of service to others,” said Thomas More College President, David A. Armstrong.
Cole became the Director of Campus Ministry at Thomas More College in January, 2016. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics, and is married with seven children.
