The Bluegrass Sports Commission announced that the Kentucky Lions All-Star Classic is hosting two exhibitions the night of Thursday June 9th at 6:30 p.m.
The All-Star Classic annually matches the top Kentucky high school basketball players against the best in Indiana.
The Kentucky Girls All-Stars will scrimmage at Elizabethtown High School in Elizabethtown, while the Boys All-Stars will scrimmage at Owen County High School in Owenton. General Admission Tickets are $8 and the event is open to the public.
These exhibitions will be against some of the top incoming high school juniors and seniors in the state. This game also serves as a test for the annual Kentucky Indiana Rivalry game which is set for Sunday, June 12.
The girls’ game will begin at 1 p.m. with the boys facing off 30 minutes after. Both games will be played at Bellarmine University in Louisville.
The teams are comprised of the top athletes from around the state, including Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches (KABC) Regional Players of the Year, Mr. and Miss Basketball, and players who were nominated by selected KABC Coaches of the Year.
The 2016 boys’ team will be coached by former Tates Creek High School coach Wayne Breeden and includes the following players (local players in bold):

Tickets for the June 12 game are currently on sale for $12 each, on the BSC website.
Tickets are valid for both the boys and girls games. All profits will support the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation and the Bluegrass Sports Commission.
