Spring donation drive to be held for Kenton County Animal Shelter on March 26; check out the needs

Donation Drive

The Kenton County Animal Shelter, partnering with Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity from Northern Kentucky University, is hosting a Spring Donation Drive at the shelter on March 26 from 11 a.m.. to 1:30 P.M.

The shelter is in need of the following items: Paper towels, animal treats, animal food, IAMS kitten food, pill pockets and gently used towels, blankets, comforters, brooms, leashes, collars and animal toys.

“The Donation Drive enables our animals and staff to have access to items that we use on a daily basis that are essential for us to operate,” said Kenton County Animal Shelter Director Elizabeth Cochran. “The items we collect help empower us to meet the needs of the animals at the shelter.”

She went on to explain how pill pockets make it easier for staff to administer medication and how collars and leashes can be used by people who may be adopting or reclaiming a pet.

Those wishing to donate should come by the Kenton County Animal Shelter, located at 1020 Mary Laidley Dr, Fort Mitchell. For further questions, please call 859-356-7400.

“We are so appreciative when our community is able to come together and make a difference for these animals,” Cochran said.
