Orangetheory Fitness, an energizing and fast-growing fitness franchise, opened its first studio in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area January 7th at 185 Pavilion Parkway. Orangetheory Owners Chase and Stephanie Whitehead said they are excited to offer their brand of fitness to Northern Kentucky.

On Wednesday, January 27 at 7 a.m. midwestern specialty and organic grocer Fresh Thyme Farmers Market will hold its Grand Opening on at Newport Plaza, 82 Carothers Road. The first 200 people in line will receive 20 percent off their entire purchase.

ALDI’s Grand Opening is Monday, February 1st at 9 a.m. at 1301 Monmouth Street, the site of the former K-Mart.

John Nolan Auto Service

Owners Robert Nolan and Dan Toney announce the grand opening of John Noland Auto Service at 15 E. 4th Street on Wednesday, Jan 27, from 5 – 7 p.m.. The Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting is open to the public.

They will offer a team of ASE Certified mechanics to address all your automotive needs. Hours will be Monday trough Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Red Hawk Technologies

Red Hawk Technologies has expanded its staff and moved to new office space at 515 Monmouth – Suite 302

The mobile and web application development company has experienced ongoing growth since its founding seven years ago and recently added two additional developers to its staff. “We were bursting at the seams in our original space,” said CEO Matt Strippelhoff. “And we were lucky enough to find just the right sized, larger space to expand into just a block away from our original office.”

The story: At Peter and Rita’s wedding, a mysterious old man insists on kissing the bride. While honeymooning, Peter gradually realizes that the woman by his side is not his wife. The wedding kiss caused Rita’s soul and the old man’s to change places. Peter must track down the old man and free his young love’s spirit trapped in an aging and diseased body before it’s too late.

Newport East Row Garden Club will host “Trees in Trouble” documentary on Tuesday, February 16 at 6:30 at The Sanctuary Event Center, 417 E 6th Street.

“Trees in Trouble: Saving America’s Urban Forests” is a Cincinnati-based documentary by director Andrea Terrace. It tells the story of America’s urban and community forests and the threats they face. It follows Cincinnati Parks’ Dave Gamstetter and his team as they deal with the social and environmental impacts that threats like emerald ash borer bring, as well as the seemingly endless costs of solving this serious issue.

CET first aired this 30-minute documentary locally this past November 2015, and PBS will run it nationally on Arbor Day this year.
